Yep. Every pause in typing is followed by Ctrl + S. It’s so habitual that I’ll also do it sometimes when typing posts here, which is annoying because it opens up the browser’s ‘save page as’ dialogue, which isn’t what I wanted.
But, yeah. If I’ve stopped typing for more than two seconds, I’m hitting Ctrl + S.
The best habit one can ever develop is to compulsively press the save keybind after every single edit.
Sometimes I ctrl+s when there have been no changes, or in applications that autosave, it just feels right
