No idea what’s going on or whether the issue is on Piefed or Mastodon’s side but hear me out.

See attached image. Posts from [email protected] aren’t federating with Mastodon anymore. I’m following both the community and my Piefed account from my Mastodon account on mas.to. The last post visible from Mastodon was created on Feb 12th. The community isn’t very active but there have been a few new posts today and in the past few days. Same issue with [email protected].

This doesn’t happen with all communities, though. For example [email protected] is federating just fine and I can see the latest posts, including those created today.

Curious to hear if anyone else noticed that! Any ideas what’s going on? :)

I am the author of all the missing posts by the way. Could it be something wrong with my account?

    I have a mastodon.social account purely for following piefed.social accounts, to make them show up on Mastodon. There’s still lots of posts coming through but as you say, some missing.

    Yesterday I fixed a federation bug which had existed for many months. I suspect that this fix has confused Mastodon a little but it will come right over time as cached data at their end expires and is refreshed. Long story. But I think it’ll work itself out in the next 24 hours.
