      Without the back it would be hard but it’s a variation of this one : https://youtu.be/9-F3dr94o58 For explanation I just skipped the 2 knots on my ribs and ended the very last passing upper behind. I didn’t want it to be too much regular

            Due to compression and stretch over time, often used sheathed ropes, like the one in your photo, tend to lose their sheen and the tressed sheath lies flatter against the core (that’s a good thing for a Shibari tyer, right?). But, it could just be down to a trick of the light or focus or resolution of the image. I didn’t mean anything else by it, and apologize if I came across as critical in any way.

              Oh, it’s alright :) I bought these one especially because they were smooth enough for a beginner (since I mostly am not using them by myself). I believe it’s a mix between light and soft rope
