So, I just noticed something tonight…

I’ve been scheduling posts for midnight in my community for about the past month. Tonight, some folks on Lemmy instances voted and responded to one of the posts before they were scheduled to go live.

Is this a known PieFed issue? Is it by design?

If this happens again, please make an issue on the codeberg. Also, when you schedule it, make sure you have the correct timezone selected. That might have made things publish before you anticipated.

Oh, I know for certain that the time zone is correct – it’s set to CST. And, adjusting to GMT 6:00 was correct. And, I can confirm that on feddit.online it wasn’t posted until the correct time.

So, unless there is a timezone calculation being done incorrectly somewhere (either piefed or lemmy), I don’t think that was the issue.

(And, FWIW, the timezone has been set consistently for all my scheduled posts over the last month, and I haven’t seen this behavior before.)
