Honestly it could be. As I read it, it looks like it’s just the oil tank falling off the oil gun and splashing oil on their face (in the eyes?), but it’s kind of hard to tell.
It’s supposed to be a spray gun for undercoating from which the container falls off and the undercoat gets in his eyes
Okay close enough to “get it” I think.
Aaaand that’s why you always wear eye protection when any hazardous chemicals or projectiles are involved.
