That has nothing to do with the electoral college, that means that roughly half of all voters voted for Trump to receive a second term, and there’s polling to suggest he would receive more than that if the election was held today.
Regardless of your feelings about them, they’re roughly 1 out of every 2 voters in this country. You can’t just hand wave that fact away because you don’t like them.
