As an American, let me assure you that having campaign seasons of something between 7 months and 3 years is absolutely sanity-destroying. It’s fucking awful and I hate it.
It is also pretty crucial to acknowledge that the general mental/outrage fatigue is at this point entirely intentional and by-design, as far as I can tell.

There is such a thing as political exhaustion, and the US gets this kind of bullshit inflicted on them CONSTANTLY.
