Monthly reminder that we knew what was happening in Cambodia, or at least had an idea of it. The Vietnamese military, still high on having kicked out the US, decided to crush a beer can against their skull and go fuck up Pol Pot for being a rotten son of a removed. They’re the ones who deposed the Kmer Rouge. It is one of my least favorite facts that since we were still salty about war, the Carter administration went on insisting on recognizing the Kmer Rouge as the legitimate government of Cambodia in exile after the Vietnamese deposed them.
