An overconsumption of only soy-based products can’t be good either.
I imagine you don’t realize what a non sequitur that is. OP said eat vegetables. There is nothing wrong with soy, though. I especially enjoy edamame, tempeh, and tofu. Naturally, one should avoid all over-processed foods like many mock-meats, but even the worst are vastly preferable for health to actual meat.
Meat and dairy gets hundreds of millions combined from direct subsidy and promotion by US government agencies. A lot of money goes into advertising, covert PR, and selected research. If you’re going to be suspicious of biased research, be sure to keep your eyes open for that as well.
i dont really like soy but i fucking love beans.
i’ve even tried soy from dried and all that and I’d still rather have black beans.
ever have black bean tofu? top tier.
It sounds like you’ve never tried edamame! That’s what you call a soy BEAN served in bean form. Get some frozen, steam it for a couple minutes, and it’s awesome. They’re a bit different from brown beans, in a delightful way, but they’re definitely beans.
Can’t eat anything anymore
Just gonna get worse in the US since our director of Health and Human Services literally does not believe in germ theory.
Plenty of veg alternatives.

The cited source is a pro-vegetarianism site. That doesn’t seem like the most objective of sources to cover this research.

Woah you made alot of jumps to get to an anti-vegatarian perspective lol.
Maybe just accept veggies are healthier than meat? It’s not a radical idea and factually proven.
Where are you getting overconsumption and why “soy only”?
Like… Thats not the bulk of vegan food. Are you aware that more options than processed fake meat exist?
Also 300g of chicken would hardly classify as overconsumption would it?

I haven’t had alt tofu of any kind yet but I watch Mary’s Test Kitchen.

it has been a minute since i’ve had edamame.
Bean tofu rules. Had lentil tempeh the other day and that was so good too!
I have learned of two new foods that I can’t wait to try in this thread!
this may be of use to you
They said “plenty of vegetable alternatives” not “eat only soy”
Color me surprised. The Dosis makes the poison…
