      We tried a vegan baking recipe that used ground flax seeds instead of eggs

      I can’t remember how it worked out, but now I have flax seeds in my breakfast daily and have been enjoying that.

      Vegan recipes use some pretty neat ingredients.

      I had some dumbass going off about how they needed eggs for brioche because there aren’t good egg substitutes for brioche… Like could you get any more dense, it’s literally a “let them eat cake” (“Qu’ils mangent de la brioche”) moment. Nobody fucking needs brioche.

          not really sure the analogy fits directly, in this case people are mad that the brioche is expensive and I’m saying “why not eat bread”

          Valid way to read it, but I meant more in the sense that Antoinette didn’t need brioche herself, and the extravagance she was used to was a big part of why peasants couldn’t afford basic bread. The extravagance of some stupid Americans thinking they need things like brioche is making it so poor Americans can’t afford eggs.
