I was too snarky in my reply. Sorry about that. I fall into a habit of being too negative on the internet, but where you’re confused is how current enters the loop of wire. The situation your describing is resistive heat based on pushing electrical current through the wire. That would be conduction not induction.

You’re very wrong. Aluminum does not work with induction. Its not ferrous so it can’t interact with the induction coils. Thats just scientific fact.
Many stainless pans do have an aluminum core, but they also have a ferrous metal layer that allows them to be compatible with induction burners. Its not the aluminum thats interacting with the induction top at all. The aluminum is just there for even heat distribution on gas and electric cooktops, or to cut weight and make them more user friendly.

For what its worth Alton Brown and Chris Young, use All-Clad in their videos. Both are more “scientific” chefs. Alton is my preferred of the two, but both are more data driven than most chefs.
As for myself, I use cast iron when I need more thermal momentum, and stainless when it doesn’t matter as much. I’ve got a mix of All-Clad and one brand that I haven’t seen mentioned is Viking. They’ve both been excellent over the course of a few years, cooking 2-3 meals a day every day. The handles are still rock solid which I’ve found to be an issue with other cookware.
Bonus: both brands can be found in relative abundance at consignment stores for “cheap”. My cast iron is from local thrift stores or estate sales, but the stainless stuff I tend to buy “new” at Sierra or Home Goods. Each pot and or pan is somewhere in the neighborhood of $20-40 and is BIFL quality.

That’s the one! No idea where I got Q from lol

I mean, it was assumed and mostly known that it was taking place already. Thats why the government tried to prevent them from being sold in the US. Did anyone really think they were going to give up on spying on world citizens when they were forced to sell TikTok?

Lost city of Q?

Yeah, ive got 512GB as well, but expendable storage is never a drawback.

Yeah, ive got the edge+ 2023 and it’s done me well so far. Cases are a pain and so are screen protectors because of the curved glass. Its the Achilles heel to an otherwise flawless phone in my eyes. If they can take this platform and remove the curved glass and add expandable storage for the Graphene release, they’ll find themselves back in the mix for top 2 android manufacturers.

You sound like awesome! I hope to be as active as you at 73 and beyond. Already a pretty tough road for me going forward though. 30 years old and 2 knee surgeries in, but thankfully I’m in the health field and can manage my own rehabilitation. Keep on rocking!
I shouldn’t need a 9 point checklist to browse the internet. I’d rather there be proper user protections in place.
This is such a tired take. He gets people enthusiastic about exciting or fun things in tech. Not every tech channel or influencer needs to deep dive analytics or details. Even so, they sometimes do exactly that.
Like him/them or not, they have advanced repairablity, spotlighted unethical behavior, and made useful guides for things like ad-blocking and piracy.
The paradox is that your traffic is so unique that it can be compared to traffic captured from other websites you’ve visited and be used to build a profile around your commonly visited websites and current interests.
That fingerprint is then sold to brokers that forward to websites that will serve targeted content to your fingerprint when you do happen to show up. It doesn’t necessarily care what your identity is just that you have an identity.

Word of advice. At 73 you might not want to be too patient. If it starts to affect how active you are, address it. At your age, once mobility is gone it doesn’t like coming back.
The saying I’ve heard from the ortho I work with is, “if they roll in(in a wheelchair or walker), they’ll be rolling forever.”
It’s not just strength that goes, it’s the will, balance, and neuromuscular function.

Preface: the American healthcare system is a broken racist, inefficient, and profit driven mess of ineffective care.
Take: Meniscus injuries are very difficult to identify in some cases anyway. Even if you were in a healthcare system that works well, it might not have been identified. The special tests for meniscus tears are not very reliable. The best ones rely on a patient’s own subjective assessment of stability. So as a clinician, I have to rely on subjective information in the special tests and my own subjective opinion on the signs and symptoms a patient provides. The gold standard for diagnosis is MRI and due to limited resolution I’ve had multiple patients with torn menisci not have anything show up in MRI results.
Now, if you correctly identify a torn meniscus, surgical interventions aren’t great either depending on location, extent of damage, and type of tear. Sometimes the best thing the surgeon can do is remove damaged tissue and clean up the area. The lack of blood flow means that reparability of tears isn’t great. Sometimes you’re fucked if you do and fucked if you don’t. Fortunately, there have been advances in outcomes lately and hopefully that continues. But for now, sometimes the best option if you’re not overly active is delaying surgical intervention until a knee replacement is a viable option.

Can’t touch him anyway. They just think they can because they’re fucking stupid-ass motherfuckers that don’t know how the first amendment works.

Oh. Sick. So the reward for being a moral human being while still paying what I owe is to owe them even more. I fucking hate it here.
Thank you. Guess I’ll resubmit my W-4

He could have tried to get their license revoked, but would have lost the ensuing lawsuit on first amendment grounds. ABC was never at risk of losing their license. They willingly chose the bribe. A lawyer that just passed their BAR exam could have won that case.

Not unless the judge rules that one side must cover the cost incurred by the other. Even then, they could drag out the payment over the course of years due to appeals or bankruptcy filings.
No problem! Sorry again for the snark. No one willing to learn should be met with that sort of hostility. Its a relatively new and complicated technology, so it’s not intuitive unless you’re already familiar with it. Instead I should have explained it in a way that garners enthusiasm to explore the principal cause its pretty cool
