I was thinking the same thing.
My guess is that the star is just that good.

Different times.
My opinion is that getting the X rating helped the movie. It came out after The Summer Of Love and just before Deep Throat and Behind The Green Door rolled into local theaters.
I can’t think of any other mainstream movie of the time that got an X rating, so it really stood out.

In my opinion it’s a great movie.
People still quote Hoffman’s line “I’m walkin’ here!”
That’s actually a great example.
Back in the day, jazz records would have the jazz version of the song on Side A, and a non-jazz version on Side B.
To the people hearing jazz for the first time it sounded terrible, but after they realized the musicians knew what they were doing, many were won over.
Jumping in.
I tried ‘House’ and noped out about fifty pages in.
Too much work and not much payout.
imho it was a gimmick book.

“Midnight Cowboy” is still X-rated, even though there’s nothing in it that you don’t see in a show like ‘Game Of Thrones.’
What a difference a few decades make.

You are supposed to remove the seeds first.
If nothing else, a hollow pumpkin is much easier to handle.

I’d guess the idea is that as an adult you can handle anything you see in a movie.
For instance, I saw the movie where 99% of humanity has died, and people are losing their minds when the hero has to put down a doggie.
I never heard of ‘the backrooms’ before I saw the movie. I thought it was really scary and have been recommending it to everyone.
I reminds me of two other movies that I hated. League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and The Rocketeer were horrible adaptations, but people who hadn’t read the original comics thought they were great.

Frog jumps into the Princess’s lap.
“Kiss me and I’ll turn into the world’s greatest drummer!”
Princess picks the frog up and shoves it into her purse.
“Didn’t you hear me? You could have the world’s greatest drummer!”
“Honey, I can make more money with a talking frog than I can with any drummer.”

New York resident here.
I figured that after the hoopla he’d be bogged down by entrenched bureaucrats and stymied by inertia.
I don’t know how he’s doing it, but I hope he doesn’t slow down.

I can’t remember the comic who said it.
“I want to meet a guy on a dating app. I also realize that any guy who is good at internet dating is probably going to be a pig.”

A woman did this back in 2018.
Invited a bunch of guys from Tinder to meet her in a NYC park and then let the drama unfold.

Reminds me of an old story.
The King asks his grandson what a king’s job is?
The lad says that a king’s job is to make good decisions. The King says no, a king’s job is to make terrible choices.
He goes on. Anyone can make a good decision, because those are usually pretty obvious. When the choice isn’t obvious, it gets ‘kicked upstairs.’ The cop hands the choice to a judge, who kicks it to the appellate court, and so on. Eventually the King has to choose between two equally bad options.

Check which local politician has made it part of their platform.
Go support them.

Not really.
Take the first one. Someone can work hard to improve themselves, but have a realistic idea of how far they can go. Maybe I’ll take a chance and open a hot dog stand of my own; I shouldn’t expect to outdo Burger King or KFC.
You can take risks safely. A scuba diver can explore a cave with a trained buddy and proper equipment, or just swim in alone.
All the people who fought in the Tojan War are long dead, but Homer’s words still live on.
If it’s legal there’s a way to do it safely.
