I’ve been hearing people claim that it’s the next incremental improvement that’s gonna do it since the very first Oculus prototype. Turns out there’s always another next incremental improvement.
Look, I have owned what? Five? Six? HMDs since VR started. I’m looking at two right now. I’m not a hater. But it’s way past time to acknowledge that this isn’t mainstream tech. This thing is behaving like all other standalone VR devices. Which is impressive, because the price tag is absurd, it should have been dead on the water day one.

Next to nobody bought this one – who the hell is saying no one buys apple products period though? The problem with apple is that they are too big, so yes obviously most everyone buys their shit (I used to myself but never again) and yes that’s why they are a monopoly. What exactly are you on about?

My actual point is that literally every Apple product has people who don’t buy them complaining about how expensive they are.
Elsewhere in this post’s comments someone claimed that iPhones are raising in price and staying there (which is only true if you ignore inflation basically).
The XDR display and its stand had gamers everywhere furious, because their monitors were much cheaper and came with a stand included in the price!
If Apple were giving out free ice cream people would complain about how much it costs to add sprinkles.
I’m unaware of anyone complaining about Apple in a way that is unfair to Apple. Their shit is expensive, so much so that even a well-established cult mentality can’t always overcome that sticker shock. Such as in the case of this stupid VR headset.
